Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Dr. Jack Hollowell, Senior Pastor

Pastor Jack came to Grace Fellowship Baptist Church from Olive Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor, North Carolina where he had served for over 12 years. He and his wife Leslie live in the Nantahala Community where she teaches Art at Nantahala School.
He was born in New Bern, North Carolina and spent his childhood on a tobacco farm along the Pamlico River. He entered the Army to escape farm life and he served for the next 30 years. Most of his military service was with Special Forces around the world. He accepted Jesus, the Christ, as his Lord and Savior on a Sunday afternoon in 1978 while serving in Panama. From that point his life began a slow and radical change as God led him to serve as a new type of soldier.
Pastor Jack completed his undergraduate degree in Social Psychology and Masters in Counseling and Human Relations. When he retired from the Army, he worked with juveniles for the Florida Department of Health and Human Services. It was there that he answered a call to full time Christian service and graduated from seminary in 1993 with a Master of Divinity degree and completed his Doctorate of Ministry in 2004. He has served in various church positions in Panama, Florida, Texas, Virginia, and North Carolina.
He believes that as disciples of Jesus, each person is called to be actively involved and growing in their relationship with God, other disciples, and people everywhere. Our growth will then be evident in worship, service, and fellowship where we develop our relationships vertically (with God) and horizontally (with each other). He invites everyone to worship with us and learn about the amazing God we serve!

Grace Fellowship loves Pastor Jack & his wife, Leslie!
